16-year-old boy injured in early morning house fire

BELTON, TX â Shortly before 3:30 Wednesday morning, May 12, the Belton Fire Department is investigating a fire that injured a 16-year-old boy.
Belton FD responded to the 800 block of West 1st Ave. to a house engulfed in flames.
Belton Fire said that when the fire started, two people where inside the house, the 16-year-old boy suffered third degree burns to his hands and face. He was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.
The Belton Fire Department said that the fire started in the back of the house. Salado Fire Department assisted on the call.

BELL COUNTY, Texas An office/stable building caught fire Tuesday at the 3100 Block of Rocking M Lane in Bell County. There were four horses inside but a person and Fort Hood soldier helped get them out safely, according to the Central Bell County Fire and Rescue.
No injuries were sustained during the fire but the building is a total loss. A possible electrical outlet started the fire, according to the Central Bell County Fire and Rescue.
Seriously, that’s all he wanted out of the vehicle, the Salado Volunteer Fire Department said.

SALADO, Texas The Salado Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire on Interstate 35 at 282 Northbound Thursday.
Crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle with the engine compartment fully involved. After the fire was out and no further hazards existed, the driver was able to recover his box of Cheerios before the vehicle was removed from the roadway. Seriously, that’s all he wanted out of the vehicle, the Salado Volunteer Fire Department said.
