Sacramento Police Officer Alexa Palubicki Accused Of Filing False Police Reports

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A Sacramento police officer was arrested for two counts of filing a false police report, the department announced on Thursday.
Officer Alexa Palubicki, 26, had been with the department for three years and was the subject of a months-long investigation. The Sacramento Police Department said in a news release that Palubicki had been placed on administrative leave as soon as details on her misconduct were received.
The department said that information was brought forward by other officers last July. The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office said the charges relate to an incident that happened on July 11, 2020.

YUBA COUNTY, Calif. A deadly crash in Yuba County claimed the lives of two people on Tuesday.
California Highway Patrol in the Yuba-Sutter area only identified the two as a 20-year-old man and 17-year-old boy, both from Olivehurst.
The crash happened around noon when the 20-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger were heading northbound along Highway 70, south of Olivehurst Avenue in a 1997 Honda Prelude.
CHP said the Prelude approached the rear of a Lincoln Navigator before veering onto the east shoulder and hitting the right side of the Navigator with the Prelude s left side. The Prelude veered back onto the road, lost control, veered onto the shoulder, hit a tree and came to a stop at the railroad tracks.

CLEMENTS, Calif The owner of a bar in San Joaquin County was arrested after being accused of selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards at his businesses.
The accusation comes from Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), who said in a news release that their undercover agents were able to buy the fake vaccination cards multiple times in April at the bar.
The bar was identified as The Old Corner Saloon in Clements a. With help from the San Joaquin County Sheriff s Office and district attorney s office, the ABC said they were able to execute a search warrant at the site and recover materials related to the distribution of the fake cards.
