news Compensation for ‘war crime’ victims sought News Desk © Provided by Daily Times(PK) The civil society in Pakistan has expressed its shock over findings of Afghanistan inquiry report, compiled by Maj Gen Justice Paul Brereton, Inspector General of the Australian Defence Force. The report has found that Australian Special Forces were involved in killing of 39 Afghan civilians. Last week, the civil society activists and students held a protest against this act in front of the National Press Club in Islamabad. They demanded that the international community remove Australia from NATO, in addition to a UN-led probe into the matter. They also demanded that the victim families be paid $1 million compensation each and a chance to study in Australia.

Azerbaijani Education Ministry: 10 schoolchildren killed due to Armenian attacks

15 Dec 2020 in 15:30 Following the attacks by the Armenian Armed Forces, which lasted for over six weeks, 10 Azerbaijani schoolchildren have been killed and 16 wounded since September 27, Azerbaijan s Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev said, speaking at an event dedicated to the International Day of Human Rights. Amrullayev added that 54 educational institutions were destroyed as a result of the attacks. He also spoke about the measures that are being taken to ensure the continuation of the learning process amid the coronavirus pandemic. During the event, the minister of education also highlighted the Virtual School platform, created in cooperation with Microsoft to switch to online learning.
