Q&A: PGA TOUR University architect Brendan von Doehren October 08, 2020
PGATOUR.COM sat down with PGA TOUR University architect Brendan von Doehren to discuss some of the frequent questions put forth by coaches, players and fans following the launch of PGA TOUR University on June 1, and the initial Ranking on July 22.
Von Doehren is the Senior Director for Tournament and Member Affairs on the Korn Ferry Tour. Prior to his arrival at the PGA TOUR in 2015, he worked for Major League Soccer and before that, served as the assistant coach for the Pepperdine University Men’s Golf Team from 2007 through 2010. von Doehren was a member of the Men’s Golf Team at Loyola Marymount University.

PUERTO PLATA, Dominican Republic – After the restart of the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica last week in Miami, the Tour travels to here this week to celebrate a new edition of the Puerto Plata Open. This will be the fourth time Playa Dorada Golf Course has hosted a tournament on a PGA TOUR Latinoamérica schedule.
Additionally, with this week’s tournament, the Dominican Republic remains one of the five countries that has hosted at least one tournament in each season since the creation of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica in 2012.

DORAL, Florida MJ Maguire made birdies on his opening two holes during the final round of the Shell Open, and while the third-round leader had a few nervous moments coming down the stretch Sunday, Maguire never trailed and eventually won his first PGA TOUR Latinoamérica title by two strokes over Argentina’s Andrés Gallegos at Trump National Doral’s Golden Palm Course.
