A GARDEN centre will support a green-fingered artist in creating an entirely edible project for visitors to enjoy. Perrywood Garden Centre, which has locations in Tiptree and Sudbury, will support Suffolk-based designer and author Lucy Hutchings with her edible allotment garden. The design, which will be brought to life at the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival in July, includes chillies, heirloom tomatoes and edible flowers like nasturtium which are being grown in the production nursery in Tiptree. After the show, the garden will be moved and rebuilt at the Sudbury site, allowing visitors opportunity to view and enjoy Lucy’s inspiring space.
