Hush Puppies gives customers a new avenue to recycle shoe boxes
By Imogen Bailey | 2 March 2021
Hush Puppies Australia is set to support women in remote communities through a new partnership with Happy Boxes Project.
The partnership encourages Hush Puppies customers to reuse their shoe box and fill it with self-care products such as deodorant, shampoo and soap, to be sent to remote communities which have limited access to these basic toiletries.
Customers can either post the box themselves, or can return the box to a Hush Puppies store to be posted on their behalf.
Speaking on the partnership, Hush Puppies marketing manager Jamie Kouktzelas said that there were three key reasons for the business to get involved.
Her bespoke boxes are also available to order.
The married mum, who has a young son Max, sources as much as she can locally and delivers for free in Norfolk and Suffolk. She said the business had got off to an amazing start since launching in December, with a focus on Fairtrade and organic products.
Forget flowers, people are saying it with chocolates delivered to your door. These ones are completely hand-made by Marketa Littler in Ormesby St Margaret. Her new business Mama Bakes Norfolk has taken off during lockdown.
