Houston, Cy-Fair, Katy ISDs extend school closures through Friday

All of the Houston area’s largest districts will remain closed Thursday and the vast majority will stay shuttered Friday due to continuing power outages and other complications from winter weather conditions.
The region’s eight largest districts Houston, Cy-Fair, Katy, Fort Bend, Conroe, Aldine, Klein and Pasadena ISDs all announced they will not hold in-person or virtual classes this week.

Tomball continues trying to restore water pressure:
The city of Tomball Mayor Gretchen Fagan issued a recorded phone message at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday updating residents on the progress of trying to restore water pressure to residents.
The freezing temperatures have caused electrical outages for millions in Texas, and many people in the Tomball community, she said.
