North Queensland kayaker discovers a deadly stonefish on their paddle

A terrifying photo of one of the sea s most venomous creatures has gone viral online after two day-trippers discovered the fish while kayaking. The two kayakers were paddling in waters near Townsville in North Queensland on Sunday when one of their oars struck an object. The kayakers lifted the oar and were horrified to discover a stonefish, one of the most venomous fish in the ocean, hanging off the paddle. Unfortunately I didn t get to see it but my partner and friend saw their first wild stone fish today! Near Townsville, a woman captioned the photo shared to the Australian Native Animals Facebook page.
