Volunteers needed for the 2021 TASTE of Tippecanoe

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is in need of volunteers for the 2021 TASTE of Tippecanoe.
Event director Kyra Clark said they have a small amount of people so far, but they need more to make the event possible.
She said volunteers will work shorter, 2 to 3 hour shifts due to event changes because of the pandemic.
Clark said she understands people are wanting to enjoy summer events, but TAF needs people to step up.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) The entertainment lineup is set for this year s TASTE of Tippecanoe, but the performances aren t going to be set up like usual.
There will be two stages instead of the usual three to allow for more social distancing and more food vendors.
It also means there will be four fewer performers than usual.
The goal is to help promote and support them due to struggles during the pandemic.
Tippecanoe Arts Federation hosts Tap and Go Fundraiser
The Tippecanoe Arts Federation hosted the Tap and Go fundraiser on February 27. Proceeds from the event went directly to the TAF.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe Arts Federation (TAF) held it s Tap and Go fundraiser on February 27. Beer lovers got a chance to discover a variety of beers from six local breweries around downtown Lafayette.
Groups were set off every 15 minutes with limited numbers to help keep social distancing measures. Groups toured downtown while drinking from select breweries at each location.
TAF Marketing and Events Director Kyra Clark says the event went as smooth as she could have imagined.

The topic of humour is explored from a range of academic perspectives at this weekâs conference.
The theme of the 27th Conference of the Australasian Humour Studies Network (February 3-5) isÂ
Humour at Work: Applications, Industries and Economies. With both in-person and online sessions, the event brings together a diverse range of academics in business and management, languages, sociolinguistics and media studies from Aotearoa, Australia and Canada, says convener Dr Nicholas Holm. He is a senior lecturer in Media Studies in the School of Humanities, Media and Creative Communication, and specialises in the study of humour in politics.
