Bournemouth’s Covid vaccination centre at the BIC, which is being run by Dorset HealthCare RESIDENTS aged over 65 are being invited to book a slot to get their Covid-19 vaccine jab at Dorset s largest vaccination centre. Now that most people in the top four priority groups have been offered their first jab, the mass vaccination facility at the BIC is moving on to the next age group. The centre, based in the Purbeck Hall of the town centre venue, is being run by Dorset HealthCare. It opened on January 18 and played a key part in vaccinating those aged over 70, people who are clinically extremely vulnerable and health and care staff, alongside a massive effort by hospital hubs and GPs working in their primary care networks.

WOODFORDS, Calif. In the winter, the roughly three-hour drive from Alpine County’s main health clinic in Woodfords to the remote enclave of Bear Valley winds along snowy two-lane roads and over 8,000-foot mountain passes, circumventing the more direct route, which is closed for the season.
So to get a box of the frozen Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to the ski resort hamlet of about 100 people, the clinic has enlisted the sheriff’s department.
“It’s unreasonable for our staff to drive there, give a bunch of vaccines and drive back, especially with weather where there will likely be chain controls,” said Dr. Richard Johnson, the county’s public health officer.
