Clear on the radar for much of Montana, but to our south in Wyoming and Colorado, there is a major snowstorm that is supposed to last through Monday bringing with it several feet around Denver and several inches as far as Northern WY and Southeastern MT.
For Southeastern and South-central MT, along the MT/WY border there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect through tonight. There is a chance of light rain and or snow. Cold and wet conditions could make travel tricky.

Snow becomes heavier into midday and afternoon as a band of snow and sleet spreads slowly north and east across the metro area.
Ice pellets (sleet) may mix in with the snow at times. Temperatures through the evening hours will hover between 30-32F, so cold enough to accumulate, even on freeways.Expect a sharp gradient in snowfall totals, with the best chance of 5-7 over far southern and western suburbs by late tonight - the best chance of a half foot of slush will come from Waconia and Shakopee to Faribault and Rochester.
‘Whiteout, Brutal Conditions’ On I-70, Closures In Colorado Mountains, Foothills & Out East

(CBS4) – Authorities have shut down Interstate 70 in Colorado’s foothills during the blizzard that’s slamming the state on Sunday. Things aren’t going well on the Eastern Plains, either.

As of 1:45 a.m. I-70 had weather-related closures in the following areas:
– From Golden to Floyd Hill (at the border of Clear Creek County and Jefferson County) – Airpark Road in Aurora all the way to Burlington near the Colorado-Kansas border – Eastbound Silverthorne to Georgetown
