Gujarat Unlock News: As COVID-19 restrictions ease from today know what is open, timings - As the situation of the coronavirus pandemic is showing a positive trajectory, the state has introduced unlock guidelines starting from today.
AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat high court on Tuesday suggested the state government to take “urgent and serious steps” to curb the situation and impose lockdown for 3-4 days to curb the rising Covid cases.
The bench of Chief Justice Vikram Nath and Justice B D Karia summoned the top law officers of the government – advocate general Kamal Trivedi and government pleader Manisha Shah - and told them to convey the court’s concerns to the decision makers to take immediate steps.
After a brief discussion, the chief justice told the law officers, “You may please convey our concerns to the decision makers that urgent and serious steps need to be taken to check this (Covid-19 spread) otherwise things will go out of hand.”

Viewing the pandemic situation grimly, Gujarat High Court on Tuesday asked the state government to decide upon lock down for there four days as well as imposing weekend curfew.
While the state government would decide upon the course of action after studying the order of the High Court, Gujarat has been for the records witnessing more than 3000 cases of daily infection recently.
The division bench of the High Court comprising of Chief Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Bhargav Karia also maintained that the social, political and religious congregations be entirely stopped in the state in view of the raging pandemic. It will not be out of place here to mention that the state witnessed large-scale political gatherings recently in the wake of local body elections as well as India England cricket match in Narendra Modi Stadium.

Gujarat revises night curfew timings in four major cities
To contain the surge in COVID-19 cases, the Gujarat government on Tuesday decided to increase the night curfew timings in four major cities of the
state by two hours. The curfew will now remain in force in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot from 10 pm to 6 am, an official statement said. The curfew timings earlier were from 12 am to 6 am. The decision was taken on Tuesday in the core committee meeting of the coronavirus task-force headed by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The state government has decided to impose a curfew from 10 pm to 6 am in view of the increasing cases of coronavirus, the government said in the statement. The restrictions will be in place till March 31, it added.
