High tea: Syndicate smuggling drugs in tea packets busted

PETALING JAYA: Police have busted a narcotics syndicate that has been smuggling their illicit goods in tea packets with a Feb 3 raid in Serdang, Kuchai Lama and Cheras.

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi ( pix) said the ministry had not received any report on the increase in the prices of these items in the last one week. ‘’Currently, the price of red chili is at a reasonable level, no price hikes. it actually went down. The price of onions has stabilised. Last week we met wholesalers importing onions from India. They assured us that the supply of onions in the next several weeks is adequate,’’ he said.
