The mayor and two of four Coldwater city council member seats up for election this year have qualified for new terms.
The other two are collecting signatures to get on the ballot by the April 20 deadline.
According to Coldwater Clerk Sue Heath, no one else has asked for the forms to file. Mayor Tom Kramer, 69, filed his petition of 25 registered voters seeking a new two-year term. Kramer has been mayor since 2011. He has served on the council since 1985 except for two years.
In the Second Ward, Jim Knaack, a member since 2016, filed for another term. Knaack, 51, a Lakeland Corrections administrator, first took office when he was named to replaced Gretchen Ennis. She was disqualified after her husband became a city employee.
