Bill Belichick does not care what draft pundits think. He will take people in the second round that you have never heard of (Kyle Dugger, Jamie Collins, Tavon Wilson, Jordan Richards) and not bat an eye.
This happens because the Patriots are famous for having blinders on with their draft process. When it comes to status-quo draft expectations, the Patriots are basically hermits in the NFL Draft woods doing their own thing.
It’s the sort of thing that can drive fans nuts in normal years. This year, however, is shaping up to be the least normal pre-draft process in decades.
