INSIDE IS THE VILE, AND IT ACTUALLY HAS MY MOTHER’S EKG. SERA: IT CONTAINS A PRINT OUT OF HER MOTHER’S HEART RATE, A GIFT FROM THE STAFF AT TUFTS MEDICAL CENTER. SHE HAD THE PRINT OUT ENGRAVED IN A NECKLACE. MY MOM’S LAST BREATH. WE HAD HER CREMATED AND ALL HAVE SOME ASHES, BUT THIS IS WHEN SHE WAS ALIVE. SERA: THE GIFT WAS STARTED EIGHT YEARS AGO BY TUFTS REGISTERED NURSE KIMBERLY WALL. THAT WAY WE ARE ABLE TO GIVE THE FAMILY MEMBERS SOMETHING TANGIBLE
