RTE viewers praised Sabien after he lasted so long on the log
This was the first time that the show had the Bog Bath challenge when the families had to cling onto a log over some muddy water. The family with the longest time is the winner but remember it’s the family with the shortest time that immediately leaves the competition.
Ireland Fittest Family viewers were quick to point out a perceived ‘flaw’ on Sunday night’s episode.
Some of those watching noted that the way the eliminator challenge on the show played out was ‘unfair’ and proposed how they’d rectify the situation should a similar scenario play out in future on the RTÉ One show.
‘That eliminator couldn’t have been more unfair, one team losing their strongest and the other choosing to not race their weakest. So annoying,’ wrote one viewer.
Another person watching tweeted, ‘Small flaw in #IrelandsFittestFamily unfair that 1 team loses their fittest, so the other team takes out the weakest. Everyone should be ranked 1-4 and if 3 gets injured in one team, then 3 in the other team should have to drop out.

Aussie fan favourite, Drumstick ice cream, has launched its new brand platform ’Summer’s Here’ via independent agency SDWM.
For over 50 years, Drumstick and summer have been synonymous, with the product evoking a sense of nostalgia for Australians – memories of all the good times had while growing up. But a lot has changed in the last 12 months, let alone the last 50 years. That’s why the brand’s latest campaign, ‘Summer’s Here’, captures the pure joy summer can bring, targeting a new generation of Australians.
After what’s been a tough year, the campaign aims to remind people that summer isn’t just a season, it’s a mindset. The ‘Summer’s Here’ TVCs, directed by Kate Halpin from Sweetshop, transports a hero character out of the everyday and into a pool party world where the sun, fun and most importantly Drumsticks never end.
