Last Thursday’s polls revealed how the votes were rigged in some parts of Kayunga and Sembabule districts.
In Sembabule for instance, during vote tallying at the district headquarters, Daily Monitor established that the total votes cast exceeded the number of registered voters at about 10 polling stations.
The anomaly, however, was quickly detected and the Result Transmission System (RTS) declared the votes as invalid.
More than 6,322 votes were declared invalid because the number of votes cast were not tallying with the number of registered voters.

Security agencies on Thursday raided a city hotel and arrested more than 30 polling observers.
The polling observers under NGO Forum were holding a meeting about the General Election before they were arrested yesterday.
Mr Xavier Ejoyi, the executive director of Action Aid, said the police officers alleged that the activists didn’t have accreditation to operate on the polling day.

The incumbent Woman MP for Kayunga District, Ms Idah Nantaba, yesterday threatened to quit the race following a fracas on Wednesday night with security personnel.
The police intercepted 15 mini buses (Coasters) ferrying what Ms Nantaba described as her polling agents from Kampala because she “doesn’t trust those in Kayunga.”
“I have quit the race and I have petitioned the EC to halt District Woman MP elections in Kayunga until this issues are sorted out,” Ms Nantaba, the former state minister for ICT, said during a press conference at her home in Kayunga District.
