Woodland Development PLANS have been lodged for a new housing estate on green land in Breightmet. Hive Homes has applied to Bolton Council with a proposal to build 28 two and three-bedroom homes on land off Woodland Close, close to St Catherine’s Academy. In documents attached to the plans, the developers say they wish to build ‘a range of high quality, high specification homes for the local community in a sustainable location’. The design and access statement, adds: “The application site is rectangular in shape and measures approximately 1.45 acres. “Existing rear timber fences from existing properties served off Rusland Drive, define the northern boundary.
