Katha is an NGO that has been transforming the lives of underprivileged children for nearly 30 years.
Many years ago, a young girl student joined Katha Lab School located in Delhi s Govindpuri locality with dreams as strong as her determination. Hailing from the nearby slum area, she wanted to grow up to be an IAS officer. Years later, at one of the events organised at Katha, the team saw a white Ambassador with red beacon cruising in. Everyone was pleasantly surprised that the same girl, now an IAS officer, had come back to reminisce the starting point of her journey.
Warrenville pharmacy offers free food bank for people in need

The community of Warrenville in central Trinidad has partnered with a pharmacy and a non-governmental organisation to carry out a food drive for people most in need.
Marc Tariq Ali, the owner and pharmacist of MTA Pharmacy, located on the corner of Old Southern Main Road and Munroe Road, has volunteered a space in his business to run the food drive.
Youngsters turned up in their pyjamas at All Saints Primary School but were feeling far from sleepy. They brought in their favourite books and got busy colouring in We Love Reading posters, and their teachers read them some night-time stories. The
Tele was met with lots of happy smiling faces when we visited Ms Shields P3/2 class. Depute head teacher Jennifer McGachy says there is a strong commitment to reading and literacy in the school. She said: We asked children to bring in their favourite books and instead of spending money on costumes, we asked them to wear their pyjamas and read bedtimes stories.
