Superplastic, the brainchild of Kidrobot founder Paul Budnitz, has finally launched the first Gorillaz vinyl toy collection in over 10 years. Revered for collaborating with artists and celebs alike on highly sought-after collectible art toys that are known to sell out instantly, the British-virtual band now get their own version.
Having first unveiled the collaboration last year initially only with the Gorillaz frontman, 2D – the collection now sees the whole band receive a vinyl makeover with 2D even getting a change of clothes and different stance. Inspired by the band’s aesthetics in the
Song Machine series from last year, the collection may indicate that Gorillaz are gearing up for a release of the second installment of the album.
