Jack Britt senior becomes one of the first female Eagle Scouts in Fayetteville

A Jack Britt High School senior became one of the first female Eagle Scouts in the Fayetteville area.
Kayla Ivory, 18, became an Eagle Scout alongside her brother, Tyler.
Kayla first became interested in becoming a scout while learning from her brother and seeing how it benefitted him.
“I saw all the fun activities he was able to do with his troop, and the years that passed while he was in the scouts, I got to see how the program changed him and helped him become a better version of himself,” Ivory said. “He started teaching me things from tying certain knots to how to set up a tent.”
