Kirkland Lake OPP charged two Southern Ontario residents with multiple offences following a traffic stop on January 14
th.
Police officials say “a member of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police was on a traffic stop on Highway 11 in Grenfell Township when a passing vehicle swerved almost striking the officer.”

The number of people charged with impaired driving in Saskatoon was higher than one New Year’s Eve ago.
According to Saskatoon police on Friday, officers laid impaired driving charges against 18 people at New Year’s Eve check stops. That was up from 14 impaired driving charges on the celebratory night 12 months ago.

According to Saskatoon police in a news release, 13 drivers were charged with being under the influence of either cannabis or cocaine, while five were charged with alcohol impairment. Eighteen vehicles were impounded for various periods of time.
