Dallas County reports 15 coronavirus deaths, 152 cases; Tarrant County adds 2 deaths, 234 cases
One of the Dallas County victims was fully vaccinated but immunocompromised from an organ transplant, officials said. Revised to include statewide data.
Dallas County reported 15 more COVID-19 deaths and 152 new coronavirus cases Friday.
The latest victims were all in their 50s or older. Seven were men and eight were women, and all but one a man in his 60s had underlying high-risk health conditions.
Five of the victims were Dallas residents, four were from DeSoto, two lived in Grand Prairie and one each lived in Balch Springs, Duncanville, Garland and Richardson.
Dallas County reports 18 more coronavirus deaths, 726 new cases
In Tarrant County, officials added 23 deaths and 589 cases.
Dallas County reported 726 new coronavirus cases Friday, as well as 18 more deaths from COVID-19.
The latest victims were mostly in their 60s and older. Two a Dallas woman in her 50s and a Garland man in his 80s did not have underlying high-risk health conditions.
Six of the victims were Dallas residents, two each were from DeSoto, Garland, Grand Prairie and Mesquite, and one each lived in Cedar Hill, Coppell, Mesquite and Richardson.
County Judge Clay Jenkins said in a written statement that officials “soon” should know accurate numbers for daily new cases after last week’s weather led to delays in testing and reporting.
A 39-year-old man died from his injuries sustained in the crash. Tarrant County officials have not ruled out the weather conditions as a cause for the crash.
Dallas, Collin, Denton and Tarrant counties together almost tallied triple-digit COVID-19 fatalities on Friday, with 96 deaths added to their collective.
