Southampton man caught with drugs worth almost £4,000 is jailed

By Tom Orde Crime and court reporter Jami Lee Singh was jailed at Southampton Crown Court. A SOUTHAMPTON man has been jailed for 28 months for drug dealing offences. Jami Lee Singh caught with drugs during a stop and search in Proctor Close, Southampton. Officers then searched a property in Tatwin Crescent where they found a haul of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis, with a total street value of £3,990. Appearing before Southampton Crown Court he was charged and pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and a single count of possessing a Class B.

Drug syringe and cooked Heroin on spoon. POLICE have arrested 24 people and seized over £2,000 worth of Class A drugs in a fortnight long focus on county lines disruption. Between February 1 and February 14, officers in Southampton carried out two weeks of dedicated work to tackle County Lines networks and disrupt the supply of drugs across the city.  Over the two weeks, districts worked with partners to carry out warrants and operations in relation to County Lines networks exploiting both the city’s travel links and local children. In total, 24 arrests were made, over £2000 worth of Class A drugs and £10,000 in cash was seized and five deal lines were disrupted.

By Tom Orde Crime and court reporter Police to up presence after double stabbing POLICE have assured Southampton residents that tackling knife crime and serious violence remains a priority. Two teenagers were stabbed during an attack in Warburton Road in the Thornhill area of the city on Wednesday evening. A row of shops was tapped off with police remaining in the area until Thursday carrying out investigations and patrols. One of the teens suffered minor injuries and the other a stab wound to his hand. A 31-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting an emergency worker.
