SWEETWATER COUNTY Both the Golden Hour Senior Center (GHSC) and the Young at Heart Community Center (YAH) are participating in this year’s AARP Wyoming Care for Critters program and still have plenty of tags for residents to choose from.
The Care of Critters program helps seniors pay for food, vaccines, and other items for their pets through donations, as well as funding from AARP Wyoming and Petco. In April, seniors over 60 years of age fill out an application form with their pet’s needs. Those requests are transferred to tags and then placed out in a public area for residents to take.
Blood draws: On-site blood draws for a variety of screenings.
Family Medicine: Meet Family Medicine physicians and schedule follow-up appointments for your blood draws.
Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center: The cancer center team will be on hand to answer questions about the full-service center, prevention and screenings.
Wyoming Cancer Resource Services: WCRS will provide information and education on skin cancers, mammograms, colorectal health and more. Kelly Sugihara, Region V WCRS Director, will also be available to speak with about free resources to those in the community that qualify.
Registered Dietitians: Dietitians will discuss concerns about diabetes, heart health, and building immunity through nutrition.
