That makes the beloved Capitals television analyst’s newfound status as a local craft beer influencer all the more surprising. Over the past year, Laughlin, 63, has collaborated with Northern Virginia-based Aslin Beer Company and Silver Spring’s Astro Lab Brewing on two hazy IPAs, with proceeds benefiting the Laughlin Family Foundation for underfunded and rare cancers.
