Bonita G. âBonnieâ Fischer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully on July 14, 2021, surrounded by family, after an extended memory care residency in Denver. She was 98.
Bonnie was born on June 10, 1923, in Liberty Center, Ohio, to parents Neva and Thomas Bichan. She graduated from Liberty Center High School and earned a bachelorâs degree in home economics from nearby Bowling Green College (now Bowling Green State University in Ohio), where she met lifelong friends in her Alpha Phi Sorority and sang as an accomplished member of a college trio. In those early years, Bonnie became an active participant in youth camp at Michiganâs Camp Miniwanca and the American Youth Foundation.

Canandaigua- Diane Lefevre Wright was born April 3, 1929 in Beaver Falls, NY. Her parents were DeWitt Chauncey LeFevre and Virginia Adams LeFevre. Her father died in 1987 at age 87 of a massive heart attack. Her mother died in 1998 at age 93 after several strokes. She lived in Hallmark Nursing Home in Carthage from 1995 to 1998 and was able to spend many weekends at her home in Beaver Falls during that time.
Diane attended grade school and high school in Beaver Falls, and was valedictorian of her high school class in 1947. She was active in school activities during her four years. They included: student council representative, member of chorus and bands, editor of school paper, junior and senior plays, first prize in Lewneida League Speaking Contest in 1946 (portraying Dolly Madison) and editor of 1947 school yearbook.
Envelopes left at Greek houses prompt increased security

On Feb. 15, fraternity and sorority members woke up to find mysterious envelopes taped to various areas of their properties.
The envelopes, left late the night before, contained cheap CDs and a calling card which was printed with a silhouette of a bird. Additionally, the CDs had a message written on them which read, “Reward for completion: $400.”
The CDs held a variety of different audio files, ranging from sounds of violence to unrecognizable noises. However, several contained audio ripped straight from a specific episode of the
