Hearts bounce back
Substitute Isaac Mensah pulled a stunning late strike to notch a 3-2 win for Hearts of Oak over Ebusua Dwarfs on match-day 15 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday.
Despite being the side with the gleaming start in the early stages and notching all two goals in the first 20 minutes, it was Dwarfs who bounced back from two goals before the substitute Mensah grabbed the match winner for his side.
Hearts, whose Serbian coach Kosta Papic left them last week, had taken a well-deserved lead through striker Victor Adioo in the ninth minute – via a spot kick after speedster Patrick Razak was soiled in the penalty box.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Bechem United’s hopes of possibly moving top of the table were crushed by a 2-1 away loss to Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Sports Stadium.
Moro Salifu’s goal in the second minute of injury time looked to have salvaged a point for the Hunters after Justice Mensah shot the home side in front in the 85th minute, but Ishmael Hammond struck a sensational winner in the 99th minute to win all three points for his side.
Medeama have moved to ninth on the league table following a 2-1 home triumph over relegation-trapped Inter Allies at Tarkwa’s Akoon Park. Abass Mohammed’s double propelled the Yellow and Mauves to victory, with Suleman Nafiu netting a consolation for Allies late in the game.

Bill Murray: Clouds slow to break up over Alabama

Clouds continue to hang tough over most of north and central Alabama this afternoon as a cold front slowly pushes southeast across the northwestern part of the state.
Temperatures are in the lower and middle 50s for north Alabama and upper 50s to lower 60s in central Alabama. Lows tonight will be in the lower and middle 30s in the north, near 40 in the I-20 corridor and lower and middle 40s in south central Alabama.
Those clouds have been eroding slowly thanks to warming in the lower levels of the atmosphere, but some of them will remain overnight. They will finally start to clear away on Tuesday and there should be more sunshine. Projections are that Tuesday’s temperatures should look a lot like today’s, but additional sunshine could push them a couple of degrees higher.
