The non-denominational Christian couple waited close to five years to have sex for the first time because they believed their romantic relationship and bodies belonged to Jesus. They wanted to surrender both to the Lord.
The Jeans, who are now 24 and 30 years old, recall during their season of celibacy achieving intimacy by kissing each other. They said that at the time, with every kiss they gave, the gestures would provide them with a glimpse into what exploring sexuality with one another might be like on their wedding night.
“I was trying to make sense of it, Joey said. I was so confused. I was looking through different addresses and didn’t know who anyone was. I looked and saw my name on the CC and realized it was a typo. I was getting entertainment while being a fly on the wall.”
Jeff explained the mixup to NBC10.
“About fifty people had been in the email, so no one really noticed that anything was wrong,” Jeff said. “I sent a list over to my brother Michael, someone had made the mistake, I’d be happy to throw him under the bus for this one.
During a conversation with the
Hardcore Humanism podcast, Lee explained how the deaths of her two siblings have manifested in her psyche, and taught her how to survive extremely difficult times. The singer s younger sister Bonnie died at the age of 3, when Lee was just 6, and her younger brother Robby died in 2018 due to complications from epilepsy. To me, going through that, surviving that, being able to continue on and find a way to make your life make sense afterward, that s really what I m talking about, the vocalist said. It s not that I like spooky things and darkness because it s fun to play with danger. It s that the time that I feel the most afraid or alone or whatever in my life is when it s like it didn t happen. It s like the world just went on living like nothing ever went wrong.
“I was thinking women’s empowerment is if we didn’t talk about women’s empowerment at all and actually spent this hour talking about our music and what we do,” Lee suggested. So, they highlighted their new albums and discussed why people needed music more than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic instead.
In part two, the four artists spoke about rock’s cyclical nature and why “female-fronted” will never be a genre.

I think this is a really strange thing to say while we’re in the middle of a pandemic, so there’s no touring, and there are fewer albums coming out.
