The UAAP continues to give back to people in need with its latest program benefitting 390 families.
Instead of holding a virtual Christmas party, the league’s Board of Managing Directors decided to donate more than P200,000 worth of relief goods to families in Payatas, Bagong Silangan and Montalban.
Adamson University athletes led the packing of the relief goods.
The UAAP has been one of the leagues deeply affected by the pandemic with the cancellation of the Season 82 second semester schedule early this year, as well as the rest of Season 83.
The league hopes the country’s health situation would improve in the coming months as they target to open Season 84 in September 2021.

Several collegiate stars have expressed sadness over the cancellation of the UAAP Season 83 due to the threat brought by the coronavirus pandemic.
It was another heartbreaking moment for some student-athletes since the remainder of Season 82 was also scrapped eight months ago.
An academic year will just pass by without any UAAP schools competing against each other, making it the first time an entire season was put on a standstill since World War II.
