Alabama junior pitcher Tyler Ras was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 14th Round of the MLB Draft. Ras was drafted with the No. 410 pick and became the fifth Alabama player and the third pitcher off the 2021 roster to be selected during this season s MLB Draft.

Ras was thrust into the Friday night role after Connor Prielipp suffered injury. He accumulated a 7-5 record with a 5.38 ERA as a starter this past year, finishing second on the team with 86.2 innings and striking out 59 batters. He allowed three or fewer runs in eight starts.
