DUBLIN, Ga. Governor Brian Kemp signed a new bill Wednesday that will help some expectant moms and fathers in the Peach State. House Bill 146 provides three weeks of paid parental leave for state employees, including teachers.
Dublin City Schools employees Erica NeSmith and Alexis Brantley say this bill can help moms avoid the challenges they faced.
“I had to use down to my literal last days,” said NeSmith.
“I used all of my vacation time and I had to end up using the time I had with my insurance,” said Brantley.
