[Melissa Coultas, ALPLM acting executive director] said the [Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation] has a “parasitic” relationship with the ALPLM, adding that the ALPLM has “faced delay or outright rejection from the foundation when we’ve requested simple information on fundraising efforts and basic finances that purport to support the ALPLM. … I have never experienced anything close to this level of stonewalling and hostility.”
When comparing the foundation’s reported income to what ALPLM receives, Coultas said, “the amount is just over 7 cents on every dollar a mere 7%.

The newly expanded and reimagined ANU – Museum of the Jewish People opened March 10, becoming the world’s only museum dedicated to celebrating and exploring the experiences, accomplishments and spirit of the Jewish people from biblical times to today.
Located on the campus of Tel Aviv University, the Diaspora Museum (Beit Hatfutsot) was founded in 1978 and was later renamed The Museum of the Jewish People.

Ray LaHood is no longer the chairman of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Board of Trustees.
Emily Bittner, a spokeswoman for Gov. JB Pritzker, said he accepted LaHood s resignation on Monday morning. Bittner said the museum is in a far stronger position than it was a few years ago. Governor Pritzker is grateful for Mr. LaHood’s service, and especially his vision in attracting an outstanding and historic new executive director: Christina Shutt, said Bittner in a prepared statement. His stewardship of the museum during this pandemic also preserved this remarkable Illinois gem.
