William Lowe “Bill” Knoll, 97, went to be with his creator Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. He was born May 23, 1923, in Stuttgart graduating from Stuttgart High School and attended one year of Hendrix College studying pre-med. At that time he returned home to run his brother’s laundry before enlisting in the Army. Eventually he advanced to First Lieutenant Air Corp and was trained in Cryptographic Security and stationed in Rome where he met his wife Sandy during the war in 1945.

STUTTGART, Ark. – Terry Harris retired from Riceland on January 29, 2021, after 45 years of service to the farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Stuttgart, Ark. Harris most recently served as Riceland’s senior vice president of operations, as well as other prominent positions throughout his career.
“Terry will be greatly missed,” Riceland President and Chief Executive Officer Danny Kennedy said. “He has been a long-standing leader with our cooperative and in the rice industry. I am proud to call him my colleague and friend, and I know Riceland is better today because of his years of service to our farmer members and our employees.”

Arkansas State University’s annual Agribusiness Conference will be a virtual event in 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 virtual conference will be presented live via WebEx on Wednesday, Feb. 10.
The 27th annual conference will focus on the outlook for the economy and agribusiness, commodity markets, and the impact of the 2020 election on agricultural policy. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at noon. Sessions will be recorded for later access.
