Insecurity: A Bone In The Throat Of Grassroot Development In Nigeria – Ikechukwu Anyaegbudike
Top Nigerian media entrepreneur, Senior Consultant with Pantum Groups UK and social commentator, Ikechukwu Anyaegbudike has weighed in on issues in Nigeria that are constantly drawing Nigeria backward as a nation.
In a statement made available to the press on Tuesday, the young entrepreneur emphasized on some of the reasons why Nigerians are struggling to find breath in their own motherland. And as a result, Nigeria is losing alot of young talents everyday because the environment is not secure enough to thrive.
“It is quite sad that that insecurity has taken a huge toll in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. Killing, banditry, kidnapping and other satanic devices have bedeviled the peace of the nation. And the problem is, we have refused to look at those little things that make us who we are.
The European Football scene was hit early this week with news of the European Super League announcement, with 12 teams from 3 European nations, namely England, Spain, and Italy confirming their participation, with no representatives from Germany and France.
The founding teams were AC Milan, Arsenal, Atlético de Madrid, Chelsea, FC Barcelona, FC Internazionale Milano, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
The league, which would have hosted Europe’s richest clubs except for Bayern and Dortmund, got news of a financial boost as JP Morgan Chase, a US investment bank, also announced on Monday that it is funding the new season of the breakout league, the European Super League in a €4 billion ($4.8 billion) bet. The teams in the league were expected to share €3.5 billion ($4.21 billion) to spend on infrastructure and rehabilitation from the COVID-19 pandemic by a private corporation that will own the league.
Sanwo-Olu sets to inaugurate 1.4 km Agege Pen Cinema flyover

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is scheduled to flag off the iconic 1.4 kilometre Pen Cinema FlyOver Bridge, Agege, tomorrow, Friday, March 5, 2021.
Recall that the bridge was initially scheduled to be commissioned about last week but was rescheduled due to exigencies.
The Agege Pen Cinema Flyover project started in 2017 under the last administration of Akinwunmi Ambode.
Sanwo-Olu in line with his promise of completing all ongoing projects across the state visited the project site in January 2020 for assessment.
Sanwo-Olu again visited the project site in December 2020 to ensure that all was in order for its commissioning in the best possible time.
