ZPD cracking down on seat belt, red light violations
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville Mayor Don Mason announced Monday that the Zanesville Police Department is putting extra focus on seat belt and red light violations through May 6. The mayor mentioned the initiative during the Zanesville City Council meeting.
Mayor Mason says so many drivers do not properly wear their seat belts and shoulder straps, and law enforcement will be paying close attention. Additionally the mayor mentioned motorists in the city sometimes do not come to a full-stop before making a right turn on red, or don’t stop at all and continue through the intersection.
