HARARE, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The Zimbabwean government is pleased with the expansion progress of the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport, a senior official said Monday.
The project, undertaken by China Jiangsu International, a Chinese contractor, is underway despite delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I am delighted after having toured this magnificent project. What I really wanted to monitor is the timeframe because we want to deliver according to the National Development Strategy 1 so that we meet our desired targets, and I am happy to say that we are on sync," said Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona.
