Having just landed her first Best Actress IFTA nomination for her role in Ann, a feature film about a seminal moment in Irish history, the death of Ann Lovett, Zara Devlin is hotly tipped to become the Next Big Thing. She has already worked with some of the country’s most acclaimed directors, and when we talk, she is waiting for the sun to go down in New Ross, Co Wexford, to commence a night-time shoot for Claire Keegan’s Small Things Like These alongside Cillian Murphy. “The last few months have been a dream,” she tells me.
