Macomb, Ill.- Former Iowa Wesleyan University Title IX Director Tina Young has been named the Director of Equal Opportunity and Access for Western Illinois University, effective April 24th. Prior to working at Iowa Wesleyan University, Young was director of Title IX and Equity at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington. She also served as supervisor of campus safety and security, coordinator of Emergency Medical Services and adjunct instructor of Emergency Medical Services at Southeastern Community College. She was also a critical care paramedic and director of continuous quality improvement at Lee County EMS Ambulance. "We are excited to have Tina on board at WIU," said Interim Vice President for Finance and Administration Shannon Sutton. "She brings vast experience in the areas of Equal Opportunity and Access, Title IX, and Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion. Her previous work at both the Community College and University levels gives her a strong foundation as the EOA director at WIU." Young received an associate's degree in Emergency Medical Services-Paramedic from Southeastern Community College, and a bachelor's degree Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska.
