Young Ottawa driver gets fine for being out past curfew in Quebec—by 12 minutes
A 17-year-old driver who’d been ice fishing with his father in Quebec for the day was fined $561 for being out on the roads 12 minutes past the provincial COVID-19 curfew of 8:00 p.m. According to the man’s father, he was just one set of lights from the Ontario provincial border and his home in Ottawa where the curfew was not in effect, driving slowly due to winter conditions, when he was handed the fine.
