Onekama Consolidated Schools superintendent
After serving as Onekama Consolidated Schools' principal for 19 years, Gina Hagen assumed the role of superintendent/principal on July 1.
Mark Parsons served one year as a part-time interim superintendent following the retirement of longtime superintendent Kevin Hughes in June 2019. When Parsons notified the Onekama school board he would be leaving at the end of his contract on June 30, the board decided to opt for a superintendent/principal position.
In a previous interview with the News Advocate, Hagen said she was excited to take on the new challenge.
