Yankees pitcher Jordan Montgomery tests positive for COVID-19

A day after it was announced that Gerrit Cole had contracted COVID-19, we have another positive on our hands. Brian Cashman stated today that lefty starter Jordan Montgomery has tested positive for the virus.
That’s the Yankees’ two most reliable starters down in the span of 24 hours as the team’s latest outbreak appears to develop. The Yankees have been dogged by injuries, underperformance, and the virus all year, and that has continued even as they attempt to get their season on track.
