Veteran St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has been placed on the 10 day IL due to tendon strain in his right foot. Molina started to feel pain this past Friday night when he was running out a double against Cincinnati. He was out of the lineup on Saturday and Sunday but returned Monday. During Monday’s game however Molina said he had trouble moving around. The 38 year old Molina was off to a strong start in his 18
th season with the Cardinals batting .332 with 5 homers and 14 RBI. The Cardinals recalled catcher Ali Sanchez to take Molina’s spot on the roster.
