Former president Jacob Zuma is convinced that his fraud and corruption trial will be finalised before the end of the year.
“There will be no more postponements to this case and I am convinced that, when this year ends, this case will be done and dusted; the end is in sight,” Zuma said while addressing his supporters outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Wednesday afternoon.
While not being more forthcoming on whether this envisioned early end to the trial would result in a ruling in his favour or not, Zuma merely reiterated that he had not illegally benefited from the arms deal.
