Wyoming reports 62 more confirmed COVID cases; zero again in Natrona

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) reported 62 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 during their 3 pm Thursday, May 6 update.
There have been 49,396 total confirmed cases in Wyoming since the pandemic began. Probable cases rose by 27 on Thursday to a total of 9,131.
No additional COVID deaths were reported Thursday. Three additional COVID-19 related deaths were reported Tuesday. The total number of Wyoming residents who have reportedly died after contracting COVID-19 since the pandemic began rose to 710.

Hospitalization data had not been updated as of 3 pm Thursday. The number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 dropped to 31 on Wednesday, down from 35 on Tuesday, according to the WDH. Hospitalizations peaked in Wyoming on Nov. 30, 2020 at 247.
