Five of the people who were injured, among those 12, more than 12 injured, were transported here by we know from our sources, that two were sent immediately to the or. But, we do not know the severity of their injuries. Or their conditions. Who dont know if, any of the five are among the eight known dead. We dont even know if the suspect is among those who were transported here. Several of the other injuries, went, went to New York Presbyterian Hospital down in Lower Manhattan. And, as you can see, there is a Police Presence outside of bellvue hospital. We spoke to man of the people walking outside. They told us, there was a heavier than normal Police Presence inside. I saw the guy with two guns running in middle of the street. I heard the gunshots each of went down because i was scared. Schools were ordered locked down. Who has addresses in florida and new jersey. And this is some one who doesnt seem to have an extensive criminal background. We found about four traffic tickets. So far thats it. But you can bet that both the fbi and nypd are digging into this persons background. 29 years old. Identified and investigators believe he was acting alone. Not part of some wider plot. But it is still early. Officials believe the 29yearold suspect acting alone when he drove the truck on to the bike path. Federal intelligence officials combing through databases looking for leads on the suspect. For example, where he traveled. O will scrub their databases looking for signs he has been on their radar. They will also try to got their hand on some of his Electronic Devices and scrub them for information as well. Was there something that he was searching for on their, on the internet . Someone that he was communicating with in the days and hours before this attack . On its face, this of course has the the hallmarks of the type of attack isis and al qaeda have called for in that cities everywhere across this globe have tried to guard against. One of the things they will look at. They know the man, truck driver was from originally uzbekistan. Islamic group, imu, Islamic Movement of uzbekistan. And they were affiliated, established in 1998. In 2015, moved from an affiliate of al qaeda to isis. We know that both al qaeda and isis have talked and, and, sort of pushed the idea of truck attacks, car attacks. So, the fbi investigators are going to look to see if whether or not he was motivated by, the imu or another extremist group. Did he have any contact with them . Thats why they will be looking at computers and cell phones and that sort of thing to see if there is any affiliation there. As you mention, i know the new york Police Department has the said this, this, ee send ee essentially looking for, in a place that is vulnerable, almost cant be protected right . Thats right. Several of the other injuries, went, went to New York Presbyterian Hospital down in Lower Manhattan. And, as you can see, there is a Police Presence outside of bellvue hospital.
