Today as the games continued fellow brazilians stood with flags as silva was honored posthumously with a gold medal one of his colleagues saying he love to train, his career and his daughter. A case of child abuse in hagerstown. A 9yearold boy is in the hospital after his mothers boyfriend allegedly beat him on tuesday because he took a piece of birthday cake without permission. Robert leroy wilson is charged with handcuffing the 9yearold son of his girlfriend and beating him until he was unconscious. Court records reveal wilson tearfully admitted to the assault and said he did it after catching the boy stealing birthday cake that did not belong to him. If i knew for one instant that that was going on, i would have took him out of that home and i would have called the police. After the boys uncle called 911, the boys mother told paramedics that she didnt need help, that he was simply congested. That ambulance was called again four hours later. The Community Rescue service tells wusa9 its ambulance crew had no reason to believe the child was in danger. And without a police agency, that crew could not legally enter the home.
