Horrific crash wednesday afternoon that ended up costing the young boy his life. Very sad and sad. Five days more its christmas. Accident investigators say the crash occurred just after 2 00 as the little boy and his father were driving down whitaker street as they turned, the car was broad sided by a late model hahn day odyssey van that just kept on going. The van i think it was came and just hit the side where the little boy was actually at report roar police tell fox 293 people in a second car stopped, two got out to assist the victims, while the driver followed the fleeing vehicle and called police. The fleeing drive was stopped by police at van kirk and front knack where he was taken into custody. That corner is real bad. I dont like it at all. Always when they turn. Reporter back at the scene Police Credit add the woman and a soldier home on leave for trying to help the eightyearold and his father until the medic arrived. She learn the child died minutes later at the hospital. Im a mom, yes. Im a grandmom. My grandson is eight years old. So its like its real heartbreaking. Reporter now the driver has not yet been charged at this hour. A blood sample was taken from him to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved in this crash. Philadelphia police have arrested one of their own for driving under the influence and threatening a person with gun. Acting district kelly hodge today announced Police Officer kevin klein is now in custody for what happened on Christmas Eve of last year. Investigators klein was driving erratically slammed into a parked car and later when officers pulled him over pointed his gun at someone before taking off again. Hodge says the Police Department intends to dismiss klein. Well traffic on i95 northbound is moving tonight. Whole different story earlier today after disabled crane had cars backed up for hours. The cranes operator was trying to hang a sign on hoot way in buck county when the sheer weight of the thing disable the crane. Heres the thing. That sign apparently weighed about 15,000 pounds. More than anticipated. Obviously a safety issue. Right now its not quiet clear who exactly is investigating what went wrong, but there is an investigation. Police are looking for two men who tried to lure children this morning. They say the men were in green mini van when they drove up next to four boys and girls right around 8 30 this morning on devereaux street. Well police say the men told the children to get in. The chirp ran off. But one of the men actua actualp out of the van and started chasing them screaming threats. The children ran all the way to car nel Elementary School where they were safe. He was 52 years old. And just riding his bike on route 13 last night it became the last thing Kevin Williams did and tonight police in bristol borough are on the hunt for the driver who took off after hitting and killing williams. The lawsuit names Cosmo Dinardo and sean kratz charged in the murders as well as dinardo parents. The family of one of last victims in west chester Senior Living center fire hired lawyers and their goal to fine out what happened. 85yearold Theresa Malloy was one of four People Killed in the fire at the barclay friends Senior Living facility on november 16th. Attorney robert monk lewis see says his team is starting a Fact Finding Investigation into exactly what started the fire. He says they would specifically like to look at the fire safety evacuation procedure.
