Police now are looking at the man they say mowed down more than a dozen pedestrians in the middle of the afternoon in what they say now is the deadliest terrorist attack since 9 11. Tonight, investigators pouring over the rented home depot pickup truck in Lower Manhattan. The truck that mowed down dozens of bikers and pedestrians on a chaotic halloween afternoon on one of the most popular bike trails in the country. She just kept screaming and, it was reporter tonight at least eight are dead an dozen injured. The Associated Press has identified the driver as 29yearold Sayfullo Saipov of florida. This was an act of terror. And a particularly cowardly act of terror. Reporter witnesses say the man drove 40 to 50 miles an hour down the two lane bike path near the World Trade Center for more than four blocks. Plowing over bikers and walkers and eventually crashing into a schoolbus injuring two children. This is video of the accused suspect running through traffic on the west side highway waving what turned out to be a paintball and pellet guns. This mother rushing to get her daughter who saw him face to face. She just said i saw the man with the guns. He pointed the gun at me. Reporter saipov was taken down shot by new York City Police officers who were calling him loan wolf terrorist. Investigators do not believe he was part of a larger plot. In the meantime, new yorks halloween parade went on as scheduled but with a much larger police presence. New york is an International Symbol of freedom and democracy. Thats what we are.
